This winter we relocated to Brevard, NC- an awesome mountain town near Asheville. We haven’t been shy about sharing our love for the North Carolina mountains or for Asheville over the last several years (this city has been our go-to spot for weekend getaways with or without our kids). So, when a couple reaches out to us after choosing an Asheville wedding venue, we’re always over-the-moon at the chance to create a video in these majestic mountains. And there’s something truly majestic about the setting of the Biltmore Estate!
This is the first in a series of WNC venue reviews. So it seems only fitting to start at Asheville’s most iconic venue: The Biltmore. With it’s sprawling pastoral setting, forested hideaways, phenomenal mountain views, and impressive architecture, this place is unlike any other! We’ve had the privilege of filming at a few locations throughout the Biltmore Estate.
Deerpark at Biltmore is one of our favorite! In one location you have an awesome outdoor space and two indoor spaces to host your wedding or reception. Couples who are prioritizing wedding videography will appreciate the natural light of all three spaces. In fact, the glow of the evening light in the courtyard can’t be beat. And the warm wood and exposed brick in the Lodge Room creates a flattering backdrop for a ceremony or cocktails. Also, from a videographer perspective we just love shooting at the Deerpark because we know by hosting your ceremony and reception there, we won’t be focused on logistics of travel but can put our creative energy into capturing the events and moments more fully.
I’m sharing a few of our highlight films from Deepark at Biltmore below. Jackson & Melisa celebrated their ceremony in the courtyard outside before moving guests into the Lodge Room for cocktails and dinner in the restaurant. They spent the night dancing in the courtyard and it felt magical. Katherine & Eric hosted their wedding in the warmth of the Lodge Room, and moved guests outside for cocktails and dancing. It was a beautiful use of the space!
