Once in a blue moon we meet a couple who shares such similar values and interests, that we leave the meeting feeling like we made new friends, not just new clients. Grady and Amanda are one of those couples. After breakfast on the porch at Fosters in Durham, we were fast friends! Even their wedding reminded us much of our own: intimate, crafty and in the quaintest chapel ever! The couple’s creative DIY touches (check out those coffee bean favors and record player guest book!) were matched only by the familial atmosphere of their ceremony and the dinner-dance that followed.
Oh, I should also mention the significance of the Western Union telegram, which was prominently displayed at their wedding. Grady proposed to Amanda by having a “stranger” approach her while they were in a public square, and give her the telegram he’d created with the help of his friends at The Martin Design Agency, to ask for her hand in marriage. Crazy-romantic and creative, huh?
This was our first time working with the lovelies from Kickstand Events. Courtney & Kate are the prefect mix of creative (they created the floral designs) and coordinated, and kept the party lively from start to finish. We hope to work with them again very soon!
Grady & Amanda: will you please move to the triangle so we can hang out? Seriously though, you two are such a special pair and we’re so happy we were with you on your wedding day! Your faith inspires us. We hope your love for each other only continues to grow and grow.
